Assistant / Associate Professor
Multiple Tenure-Track Positions

Applications for multiple tenure-track positions in Construction Management are invited for an anticipated start date of August 15, 2008. 

The Department currently enrolls about 700 students in five disciplines. The Construction Management program, which was launched in 2006, currently enrolls 60 undergraduate students; the program is anticipated to grow to about 300 students.         

Candidates with expertise in any area of construction are sought to include Construction Law / Contracts, Building Codes, Building Systems, Commercial Construction, Design/Build; Construction Methods & Materials, Design/Build and Other Alternative Delivery Methods, Green Construction, Sustainability and Facilities Management.

Expectations of successful candidates include the development of a strong record of scholarship (including external funding), quality undergraduate teaching, and professional and university service.  Candidates must possess excellent leadership, organizational, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills, and must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment that serves a diverse student population. 

Required qualifications include minimum of three years of US construction industry experience and a Masters Degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, Building Science, Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related degree.  A record of scholarship, exceptional professional contributions, an earned doctorate, teaching and/or ACCE accreditation experience is preferred.  Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Review of applications will begin January 2008 and continue until the positions are filled.
