Do I need
to meet with an
advisor before
applying to discuss my
previous work and how
my credits will
transfer? No, when you apply
your
transcripts will be
evaluated by the
admissions office.
Once you have been
admitted, you will
receive a letter
detailing your
deficiencies, if any.
You will also be
notified of a date for
SOAR, which is a day
of orientation. During
SOAR you will have a
general advising
session with an
advisor. Once you
begin your classes,
each semester you will
meet with and advisor
before registering.

We can not give
credit
for life experience.
We cannot accept any
certifications or
training for
University credit.

Yes, however
it is
usually better to wait
until you complete
your degree. The paper
work is a mess.

You should
apply when you
have one more semester
left to complete in
your associate degree.

fire, can I enter the
program?
Yes,
you need to complete the
following
core courses
listed. Then
you
will follow the + 2
program plan.

bachelors degree in
another discipline,
can I enter the
program?
Yes,
you need to complete
core courses
listed before
enrolling in any upper
division fire course.
Students then must
complete all major
classes to obtain the
degree.
